Our Show
Describing a show like that of the Whole Kaboodle is not an easy thing to do. Phrases like mayhem, lunacy, zany and such like spring to mind. But its essence can only be felt when they are seen in reality. Anyway, below is an good attempt to get the essence of the show over to you!
Whoever thought of the phrase “and now for something completely different” must have been to a Whole Kaboodle show because that’s just what it is very different, very different but very funny. They’re not there to make the audience think just laugh and they do that in an abundance.
They tend to make friends with an audience make them feel as if they are part of the show. After years and years of working together and perfecting their art they seem to know each others every move but in truth at least 50% of there act comes from ad-libbing which only come with years of experience.
The general consensus on behalf of the audience is that “we daren't take our eyes of the stage because we don’t know what will happen next”. They are what you would call masters of visual comedy and you will not find a whole kaboodle show offensive which seems to be the norm these days from a lot of there contemporaries. They can read an audience and get a feel for what they want and give it to them and boy do they give it to them! “Nobody but nobody sleeps while this act is on” is praise indeed from a certain Mr James Whale a long time admirer of the act.
SO FOR A NIGHT OF SHEER LUNACY.
