About us
Tony and Allan although comedians are
also both musicians and have followed a musical career dating back to the sixties in rock bands, club bands & trios, and are both accomplished singers.
Tony started playing lead guitar at school at the age of 15 and progressed to a professional career at the age of 18, touring Britain, Germany and Switzerland. At the age of 20 he joined "Jason Chord & The First Chapter" which included several successful recordings and then moved on to link up with "Screaming Lord Sutch's Heavy Friends". From there he changed from lead guitar to bass guitar to play in a jazz trio before becoming a lead singer in a local rock band.
Allan started his musical career playing accordian then turned to piano and keyboards in various local progressive rock bands to become a very accomplished player. His love of the Hammond organ made him very
sought after by well respected artists. This led to a ten year spell with "Hobson's Choice" which was where his comedy influence was developed. After Hobson's Choice parted company Allan continued his comedy with a trio called Circus.
Circus at this stage found themselves in need of a replacement bass player and Tony was asked to fill the gap. This started the bond between Tony and Allan with an avalanche of slick comedy routines. As the demand for comedy duos increased they decided to concentrate their talent as a Comedy Double Act on the Cabaret Circuit.
A new name was required for the act and as there was a comprehensive blend of comedy, music, and vocals it was often commented that they did THE WHOLE KABOODLE. It was an appropriate title for the act!
With a number of TV appearances under their belt with the likes of Des O'Connor, Jimmy Cricket, Jim Bowen and last but not least regular spots on the now defunct James Whale Show. Who incidentally made it very clear in his own words that "This act was the funniest thing he had seen in years, brilliant and totally tasteless". Praise indeed coming from a man who's cutting comments can make or break the strongest of talents.
